New ideas

http://www.3dartistonline.com/back_issues.php

I bought latest issue of 3D Artist magazine, because there was supposed to be an article about creating a futuristic, yet realistic scene.

For my disappointment, there is not much said about this topic in the whole magazine but there is an article by Tomas Muller which kind of gets to the point. Anyway the thing is that if I want my 3D environment realistic and futuristic at the same time I should use something that people recognize, something familiar, natural, organic...

yeah the world organic seems most interesting to me because I’m trying to come up with a design for bio-tech lab. bio... organic.. that kind of works together
Organic shapes.. thats quite broad term, it can be  something like leaves, branches, trees, veins, cells, plants, hexagonal shapes(beehive), spirals (DNA), or molecules............

I looked up some organic shapes in Google and I found some pretty interesting stuff

interior design by Maria Yasko cool shapes
and I like the color combination too

SIEMENS Leaf, very interesting design for a phone... this kind of shapes and color
would deffinitely wortk for machines in lab

I can imagine this color combination to work well for lab, with some green displays and lights

there is few more of them here - http://artistichomedesigns.com/apartment-interior-renovation/

Re-Design

The main idea right now is to take ma reference (pictures from labs in San Andrew's University) and try to re-draw them, or re-design them so they look futuristic.
This is mostly for the machines in the lab, I'm getting a little help from my flatmate  who works in one of these labs.

So far I thought I was going to use futuristic shapes and lights similar to lights from Tron:Legacy

One of the buildings in Tron
( I would deffinitely not use orange
and blue because its everywhere)

Gaming mouse from Razer, good example of combining thes
 shapeswith everyday object

or something similar to Headlights Audi uses in it's latest models (A3, A6, A8 or R8)
A3
A6 concept

New A6, these are the shapes that inspired me most,
and not just headlights, its the whole front part of the car

A8

R8

I found this Audi concept, which is ''probably'' inspired by Tron....  it works quite well, interesting piece
I will start from where I am at now, because I think there is not much point in rewriting everything thats already in my sketch book
So this is my blog for 3D Production Design
I know i started it quite late( week 8 ) but this is probably the right place where I can explain all my research, cuz my sketchbook is getting too heavy from all those pictures I'm sticking in it.
